Nick Christopoulos – Chief Executive Officer
Nick has over 30 years of mid-market commercial lending and executive leadership experience, most recently as Head of Canada, Originations, at WhiteHorse Capital, a US$7.5 billion private debt fund, which is part of H.I.G. Capital, a US$43 billion global alternative investment firm. Previously, Nick was Senior Vice President and Head of Middle Market Banking, Central & Eastern Canada, for Wells Fargo Bank Canada, where he was one of the founders and led its successful build-out for 8 years. Prior to that, Nick was Vice President with Comerica Bank for 5 years. Previously, he spent 14 years with Scotiabank, in successively more senior roles, including Branch Manager of a mixed commercial/retail branch and Senior Manager & Team Leader in Middle Market Banking.
Mr. Christopoulos serves as a Director on the Boards of Velos Capital Corp., Westboro Management Ltd., First Source Mortgage Corp. and Crestmont Financial Corp. Nick earned an M.B.A. from Dalhousie University and a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto. He is a committee member on Bay Street Fore A Cause, a Toronto-based charitable foundation, which is focused on helping underprivileged youth.
Chris Dangerfield – Chief Financial Officer
Chris has over 20 years of finance and operational leadership experience, primarily in mid-market distressed debt. He is an accomplished leader, partnership builder and strategic thinker.
Most recently Chris served as Vice President, Operations at Callidus Capital Corporation. Previously, Chris was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Alignvest Private Debt Ltd. Prior to that he was Vice President, Finance at House & Home Media. Chris began his career in Ottawa with Ernst & Young LLP and also worked for the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club.
Chris has a BA in Economics from Huron University and is a CPA, CA.

David Mandel – Founder & CEO
Mr. Mandel founded First Source in 2006. David has over 25 years of real estate, mortgage brokerage, private lending and syndication experience. Mr. Mandel is also a past President of IMBA, now CMBA Ontario, Ontario's premier association of Mortgage Brokers and Agents in the province. Prior to founding First Source, Mr. Mandel founded First Equity Financial in 1998, a residential and commercial mortgage brokerage, after working as an independent mortgage broker with a GTA brokerage since 1989. His many years of service, leadership and outspoken articles on the industry have served to provide recognition among his peers as a reliable, experienced funding partner.
Mr. Mandel holds a B.A. from York University (1981) and a B.Comm from the University of Windsor, Ontario (1984) and has been a licensed mortgage broker since 1989.

Derek Serra - President
Derek has 25+ years of retail banking experience including senior leadership and executive positions. Most recently as Managing Director Sales and Marketing at XMC Mortgage Corporation Derek led a National brand and oversaw the significant growth of both insured and alternative lines of business. Derek was recognized three consecutive years on the CMP Hot List. Previously, Derek held various Regional Vice President roles at RBC including Mortgage Specialist and Integrated Markets. Prior to that Derek held a variety of positions at RBC in retail banking with increasing responsibilities.Derek has a BA from Trent University, Fellowship of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, Mortgage Broker license.
