Chris Dangerfield – Chief Financial Officer
Chris has over 20 years of finance and operational leadership experience, primarily in mid-market distressed debt. He is an accomplished leader, partnership builder and strategic thinker.
Most recently Chris served as Vice President, Operations at Callidus Capital Corporation. Previously, Chris was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Alignvest Private Debt Ltd. Prior to that he was Vice President, Finance at House & Home Media. Chris began his career in Ottawa with Ernst & Young LLP and also worked for the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club.

Chris has a BA in Economics from Huron University and is a CPA, CA.

Leonard Zaidener – President
Leonard is an experienced lending executive with over 20 years’ experience in Real Estate markets within Canada including the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario East, Atlantic Canada, Alberta, and British Columbia. Most recently, he held the position of VP Investments, MCAN Mortgage Corporation where he successfully oversaw the record growth in volumes and profitability of the entire commercial and construction loan portfolio. Prior to joining MCAN, Leonard began his career at TD as a Real Estate Associate and progressed to managing some of the largest relationships at the Beaver Creek Real Estate Group in Toronto.

He took on more senior management roles and developed a proven record of success in real estate lending including developing strong relationships with developers and builders. He also assumed the role of AVP, Credit at TD, supporting their Ontario East and Atlantic Real Estate Groups. Leonard has his Bachelor of Commerce from McGill and an MBA with a specialization in Real Estate from the Schulich School of Business, York University.

Derek Serra - President
Derek has 25+ years of retail banking experience including senior leadership and executive positions. Most recently as Managing Director Sales and Marketing at XMC Mortgage Corporation Derek led a National brand and oversaw the significant growth of both insured and alternative lines of business. Derek was recognized three consecutive years on the CMP Hot List. Previously, Derek held various Regional Vice President roles at RBC including Mortgage Specialist and Integrated Markets. Prior to that Derek held a variety of positions at RBC in retail banking with increasing responsibilities.Derek has a BA from Trent University, Fellowship of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, Mortgage Broker license.
